Happy Holidays and the cozy Allstate Island (Ona Island)

Hello Everyone

I hope you are having a great holiday season. This goes out to those celebrating Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and others. We celebrate Christmas, but if there's ever been a year for us to all come together and be respectful to others, 2020 is the year.

We had a great Christmas. My mother-in-law visited. Our dog Flash is always excited when his Oma visits and then is sad when she leaves :). My youngest son and I played giant Jenga for the first time. Has anyone out there played this? Super-fun and not that expensive. It's a great party or family game. I'm also in the middle of assembling his new portable basketball hoop that was a bit more challenging than I thought yesterday.

I thought I'd share a cozy story for anyone interested. Last week, while watching a football game, I saw the Allstate commercial with the idyllic island and wondered if this island is real. After searching the net, I found the island IS real, but Allstate took some creative liberty and showed this as a separate island, when in fact it's connected to a larger island. While searching, I found a fun short video of the island after a fresh snowfall.

First, the island is part of Norway.

I believe everything except the final shot showing this as a standalone island in the middle of a large body of water is real.

The name of the island is Ona island. To be more precise, the smaller island is Ona Island and the larger island is Husoy Island and they are collectively known as Ona.
