We started at 7 am at the Lincoln Woods parking lot and hiked at a steady speed. We crossed the East Branch of the Pemigewasset river on the suspension bridge over to the Lincoln Woods Trail. We got on the Osseo Trail and made our ascent at 10:15 By 11, we were looking down into the Pemigewasset wilderness from the view spot. Mt Flume gave us a hike with 3,000 feet elevation gain. The same as 2 Monadnock climbs. The sky grew cloudy and cool breeze pushed us onward up the trail. We started our push to the summit at 12 noon, we were still on the ascent. With just 20 minutes left, we push on. The views from the summit are spectacular! We ate the PBJ that we brought and started down the trail. My knee started to ache and we slowed the pace on our descent. We finished our hike πŸšΆβ€β™‚οΈ at 5 pm. My Fitbit said that I had hiked 13 miles. The map said 10 miles. I felt like it could have been 13.
