I can't believe it's been over a year since I used this. Life has been so rough the last year. To be honest weight loss was the last thing on my mind. Blogging was even further down the list. I feel like I need to keep the past in the past so not going to delve in the last year's drama. Been there done that and yes, I have the tee shirt. Moving on now.
Really have been recommitting myself to weight and wellness this last week or so. The only thing that I'll share from this last year is my partner had to have her gall bladder removed. We found out in like February that was probably the issue but she wasn't able to have it done until earlier this month. Thanks to her being unable to eat anything really besides salad for 5 months, it got us both thinking about living healthier. Something I struggle with mightily is eating breakfast. I've never been good about it. I went to my lovely partner to get some help. What I have done is create a breakfast accountability calendar. I write down what I eat for breakfast and Vanessa (lovely partner) decides if it was a good breakfast. Just like a school kiddo, if I ate a filling good b-fast I get a green smiley sticker. If I eat a meh kinda b-fast, not even protein or too few calories, I get a yellow meh face sticker. If I don't eat b-fast at all, I get a red mad face sticker. I haven't done bad the last couple weeks. I have more green and yellow than red and more green than anything. This month is a trial. Next month I have to meet a certain goal or else Vanessa will come up with some diabolic punishment lol!
I am also truly trying to be more active. I take the bus to work so that helps. The bus stops aren't super far. They do help me get almost 4K steps a day. I'm starting out at only aiming for 6K. Going from not hardly anything at all to 10K is a pipe dream for me. I know I need to take small incremental steps to get to goals. I am also trying to do at least a lap around the building at lunch or on my break. I've been doing ok. One day I did a lap at break and two at lunch. I didn't get any in yesterday since we were stupid busy and I did not get either breaks or lunch so yeah. I MIGHT go to the gym later today. Who knows I might even walk there :-P My next accountability calendar is probably going to be working out. I might even do two at a time. Craziness, I know!
Well, that's all I got today. I think I will try to blog 5-7 days a week and this also makes me accountable. If nothing else it's a place I can get things off my mind. That helps.
