New highest weight...Argh!
Wednesday, April 26, 2017
I have been sitting at my computer A LOT these past 6-8 months and it's showing. :( I'm not making time to work out and it's showing. I've been overeating and it's showing. This is NOT ok! I'm not comfortable at this new weight and it's time I make some changes to lose it. I keep saying I'm going to, and I try (a little) but then get 'busy' with other things and losing this extra weight goes by the wayside. I need to tackle my to-do list and really get stuff done. I need to MOVE this body. My eating is still pretty healthy, I just eat too much at times. I CAN do it, I just need to stay focused. My focus has been on my business, which is great, but I can't continue down this path and end the year even heavier.
Last year I ran a half marathon. I loved it. Not all the training, but the race. I was so excited to sign up for races this year. (I still want to do the same one I did last year again this year, but...) I decided that this year my running would not be a priority. This was the year for my new business. I need to put in time to get it really going so that it is easier next year.
But we are also about to flip a house....and we have 3 kids....and a farm....
But I CAN do it. I can get up early and walk on the treadmill. I can do that in my pajamas, so there's no excuse. Just get up and put on socks and shoes. That will set the tone for the day.
I will need to come in and mark what I've done, or use My Fitness Pal to stay accountable. I like tracking and I like seeing progress in writing. Summer is coming and at this point, I won't fit into any of my summer clothes. Ugh. That's a depressing thought!
The biggest thing kicking my butt in gear though? My husband and I are doing the Michigan Adventure Race is less than a month. Ah! Biking, hiking, and paddling. And I am not in any shape to even finish that race right now. Not ok. I need to build strength and endurance. I CAN do it. I just need to make it part of my every day.
I CAN do this. I CAN check things off my to-do list each day, which will include a workout.
My life is about to get better...much better.
Who's with me? Let's DO this!
