By now, many of you know that I enjoy Joyce Meyers teachings. Today she was speaking on seizing the day. It reminded me of the shows 600 lb. life, My Great Big Fat Fabulous life and my lifelong battle with weight.
She used the illustration of the man, who lied at the pools edge waiting for a miracle.
John 5:6-8
When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time. He said to hime. "Do you want to be made well?" The sick man answered Him, "Sir I have no man to put me into the poool when the water is stirred up, but while I am coming, another steps down before me." Jesus said to hime," Rise and take up your bed and walk."

I think this hit a button in my conscious need, as Joyce said about seizing the day. Over the last several years I have gathered and read many articles about diet, as I am diabetic. I have been as high as 476 but am holding steady at 305 for over a year. As with weight reduction and any habit you have to study it. Diet facts, an eating plan that works for you in your lifestyle and can be maintained forever. I have learned that I have to move. With limited mobility, I have learned chair exercises, weight exercises, JUST MOVING!!!!
God will help me with the hunger issues, but He expects me to do something for myself. I can read. I can assess my food triggers. I can plan meals. I can precook meals. I can preslice frutis and vegetables for snacks and food preparation.

We should not expect that the weight will be magically removed by wishing , because it did not magically appear. We assisted by overeating, and becoming couch potatoes. We also became lazy and ate fast foods prepared badly because it is EASY.
Nothing good ever happens without planning and giving up something. Pray to h\Him for guidance.

Yup . . . . we definitely have to take care of MOVING for ourselves. It makes all the difference for me, for sure.
