2016 A Year In Review

Happy New Year everyone! 2017 is going to be the best ever! As I was creating my Goals 2017 poster, I was reflecting on all the things I did this past year in 2016… and I have to say I was blown away to see all that I did get done. I wanted to share my successes and update you all….
Shopping Adventures- It sounds silly but when you don’t have a car it can be challenging…places I got to enjoy…City Mall, Multi-Plaza, Zodiac, Art Depot, Pequeno Mundo, Price Smart, EPA, Green Center…Thank you Jean Hanshu!
Travel- Jaco, Grecia, Puerto Viejo, Boca Del Torros Panama, Nicaragua, Seattle
Health- Signed up for Transformation with Sofie in July, Lost 45 lbs, lost 23+ inches, Exercising a minimum 1 hour a day 6x a week on my kjs or in the pool, walking to town, danced 5 times to Flashback, eating healthy, drinking lots of water!
Fun- Attended two Costa Rican soccer games, attended 11 parties and community expat pot lucks including a Welcome Home Nan Surprise Party hosted by Jean Hanshu! Thanks Jean!
My Art- Painted 30 Pura Vida Paintings, 1 Wave painting, created several beaded necklaces, earrings, suncatchers, had my artwork professionally photographed, updated my Artist Statement and Bio, got one commission painting, submitted my Pura Vida Collection to Tico Pod art gallery in Jaco,
Personal Art Shows- Had 2 Open Studio Art Tours in my home,1 chili fest show, 2 Blooms art shows, 4th of July art show, Private Art Show at Karen’s, Christmas Holiday Art Show at the Feria, for a total of 8 art shows!
Art Galleries Art Shows Visited- Visited several art galleries in Jaco including Tico Pod, Namu Gallery San Jose, San Jose Country Club, Avenida Escazu, Colina Del Sol expat show, Swedish Embassy Art show
Teaching/Professional- Taught Guided Drawing and Painting once a week, Lead Artist Way group, Hosted Art Connections once a week for expats, Joined Master Mind group, Joined Professional emoticon Woman Network, Joined Blooms, taught English to Ticos and Spanish to Gringos, Volunteered at INA with students learning English, took Jan’s Diva Art Workshop,
Random- Bought two cockiteils, had a fence and gate built for the dogs, started a container veggie garden, met lots of amazing new women at Wednesday Women! Participated in the Angel Tree for poor kids and participated in the YMCA entertainment on Halloween at Kay’s Gringo Postre.
So that is my year in review! Thanks for being such a great support!!! 2017 is gonna Rock!
