Introduction Text I am a 48 year old wife and mother of three. I have been overweight for 18 years, since giving birth to my first child. I want to have more energy to play with my children. I want to not get winded when I climb the stairs. I want to shop in the "normal" section and wear whatever I want, not just what fits. I want to feel good about myself. I want to get back into the game of life instead of hiding in the shadows watching it pass me by.

I would like to be a good example for my daughter. I want to participate in life again and not sit on the sidelines watching everyone else have all the fun. I want to stop hiding behind my kids in pictures. I want to wear my wedding ring again.

I am working on reducing my portions, carbs and sugars. I am trying to drink more water. I am aiming to exercise 4 days a week.

I live in the suburbs of Chicago.

I enjoy hanging out with friends, playing games, baking and traveling.
