I want to achieve balance in my life. I used to obsess about my appearance and now I focus so much on my career that I have not been giving enough time to my health and appearance. I want to learn how to pursue my professional goals with passion and energy while leaving room to eat healthfully, stay active, and maintain a healthy weight.

I want to get into better health and be more fit. I used to be in amazing shape--I could do a power yoga class, run for half an hour, and then go for a swim all in the same day! I definitely couldn't do that now, and I want to get back the feeling of competence and strength that I had when I was in better shape.

I want to be able to go into *any* store and fit into *anything*. I know that at any size some clothes complement our bodies better than others, but I at least want to be able to *fit into things*. I love to express myself through fashion and I absolutely hate that my weight really limits my ability to do that because I can rarely fit into the clothing that I like.

I want to be visible in society. The sad truth is that when you are fat you are invisible. I experienced this before and then with an earlier weight loss, I could see the dramatic change in my interactions with other people and how they perceived me. Now that I've regained the weight, I'm back to that painful invisibility. It sucks!!

Last but definitely not least, I've started to have trouble with some of my joints, and so I feel that I owe it to myself to be as healthy and thin as possible so I am putting less pressure on my knees and feet.

My Goals:
To lose weight.
To look gorgeous.
To be stronger.
To feel healthier.
To stave off and reverse weight-related physical ailments like disease and injury.
To regain control over myself, my body, and my life.

My Program:
I am eating nutritious, unprocessed foods, limiting my consumption of simple carbs, and eating calories within my custom calorie range.
I am drinking very little alcohol.
I am walking for fitness.
I am drinking 8 glasses of water daily.
I am closely monitoring my weight.
