I'm 75. another years has gone by, so now I am 75,and I have decided that I am not going to focus on losing weight as much as I am going to improve my eating habits. I have asthma and am on oxygen at night and can't walk long distances, I have had 3 surgeries on my left shoulder and now have a frozen shoulder, so that shoulders makes it difficult to do a lot of kind of exercises, so I do what I can, and if I lose a couple pounds that is a bonus, not a requirement.

I am a farmers wife and engaged in as much of the farm as I can, and understand. We do have some livestock, sheep, 8 miniatures horses, and goats and right now we share the chores, me in the morning and hubby in the evening, but once field works start the chores are all my baby, and I do enjoy them.

I really don't have any big expectations, cause I am not one that likes setting goals. I just want to be as healthy as I can and enjoy life, and it doesn't mean spending hours and hours walking, running, working out in a smelly germ infested gym, I work hard on the farm and that has been the way it has been for many centuries, in my family, so I think it is good enough for me.
Honest work, and knowing I should not eat as much as I do, but it is all natural food, that means I don't eat boxed or store canned food unless it is unavoidable. If you read labels, some dogs and cats eat better than some do. If I can't pronounce it, I don't eat it.
So that said I have no goals, just honest living, and no beating myself up if I have a piece of pie.

How about you and I enjoy a coffee on the bench, surrounded by fragrant roses? If only we could enter your lovely banner, Linda. emoticon emoticon

Oh yes, I love antique stores, thrift stores, and yard sales. One particular antique store was my mom’s favorite. It was small and crowded, but full of reasonably priced treasures, and the owner was a delight. We rarely came away without at least a small purchase. I haven’t been there since Covid, and I hope she’s managed to stay in business.

Not planning to move right away, but I did downsize just a bit too much. Need a huge room for a library and a separate apartment for my son and if I do move again, I want a verandah or screened porch or something where I can sit out when it storms and watch without getting wet. The 4-season room doesn't work because even though it has lots of windows, there are no doors between it and the main part of the house any more, so I can't just open the windows when the A/C is on.

I’m STILL trying to get a definitive answer to one question. I call and am subjected to innumerable recorded messages and finally at the end, “Due to a high volume of calls, we are unable to take your call at this time.” CLICK. SOOOO frustrating. I have a headache and have done hardly any work today. I did enjoy my unexpected foray into a real grocery store early this morning. Naturally I didn’t have my list and haven’t figured out yet what I didn’t think of. I treated myself to my favorite deli Cuban sandwich for lunch and ate every crumb. Having meatloaf and mashed potatoes for dinner; I need some comfort food. Hope you’re having a better day than I am; that wouldn’t be hard to do! HUG back, thank you. Yes, my sick and vacation time is there if I have to go that route.
