Introduction Text Edited January 4, 2020 I am a long time Sparker who has been slowly losing the battle. I did well in my thirties, started to struggle in my forties, and now that fifty is months away, I've decided that I need a new tool to help me meet my goals. I am pursuing Gastric Bypass.

To have the energy to LIVE, not just exist. To go through an entire day with out saying or thinking the word "ouch".

Hi, I'm Marni. I have a extensive family history of health issues that I really want to avoid, if at all possible. My Pop is on Medical Disability, and I help with managing his care. I need to take better care of myself, so I can give 100% when he needs me.

I work in a very large hospital, and every day I am confronted with the consequences of not taking care of yourself. The morbidly obese, diabetics, dialysis patients, patients with cardiac conditions, My unit sees them all. What has really shook me up is that many are the same age as me, or no more than 10 years older. I don't want to be them.
