My name is Gwen and I've been a Sparker since 2007. It's only been in the more recent years that I've taken advantage of all the benefits offered by Spark People.

I have been on some sort of diet/eating plan since I was 13 years old. You'd think by now I'd have it figured out. I know what to do....just gotta do it. A few years ago, I ALMOST reached goal and became complacent. Don't let this happen to you! I met my goal during the 5% Spring Challenge although through unconventional means. This challenge I plan to continue weight loss but at the very least to maintain gains made during last challenge.

My Goals:
Goals & Commitments Are As Follows:

1. Make exercise a part of my life EVERY DAY with NO EXCUSES!!
2. Log in daily for 1 year
3. I will track food/water daily
4. Get at least 6 hours of sleep each night (instead of the 3-5 hrs I currently get)
5. Reach 5% goal by end of challenge





My Program:
1. Cardio 60 min a day at least 4 days a week.
2. Cardio 30 min a day at least 3 days a week
3. Strength Training every Mon, Wed, Fri.






Personal Information:
I have been married to my Jerry, my husband of 31 years and have 3 biological children (2 sons and 1 daughter). I also have 2 stepdaughters, one of which has 3 children. My middle son has 3 year old daughter and a 19 month old son who have stolen my heart. So 5 kids and 5 grands in total.I just have to figure out a way to see them more often as work schedules (mine and theirs) don't line up enough. We will be official empty nesters when our youngest son graduates from college in December. I am a drug dealer (legal as a pharmacist) and as a manager have long hours on the days I work. Having said that, getting in the exercise is sometimes a problem but I know where there is a will there is a way.

    Awww Gwen, I miss seeing your smiling face as I see it quite a bit as I did things with the team. I want to say TY TY TY Gwen for being here on the team. Its clear how much you enjoy being an AWESOME A!! It was so much fun for me to come over, help you out, but now you are able to stand on your own feet. So OFF I go to the kennel. They'll be on their paws very soon also. LOVE the way so many of us on SPARKS GO FOR THE GUSTO!!
