Lewis Do not get obsolete like an old technology, keep innovating yourself. ― Sukant Ratnakar I have been on Sparkpeople for almost 7 years now and in that time I have learned some very valuable lessons. I learned that it's truly not about the number on the scale but instead about health, which is why I don't have a goal weight and am instead focusing on being as fit as possible. Instead of setting a goal weight, I'm setting fitness goals and reaching those instead. I have an athletic mindset, not a diet mindset. I'm looking to improve my body image and my overall health not to be a certain size.

My main goal is to focus on exercise. Nutrition is important to me, as well, but my overarching goal is to have an athletic mindset. My biggest fitness goals are to master yoga, be able to work out standing up, to lift heavy weights, and to get my black belt in karate.

my program starting out is fairly simple. I exercise 5-6 times a week and have 1-2 rest days a week. I do chair workouts and my program is cardio, strength training, yoga, core work, and stretching.

I am a Buddhist nun with a son who turns 10 in March. I love to read and enjoy comedies and cartoons. I am disabled but fitness is still a huge part of my life. I have had an eating disorder for years and am in recovery and blog about my journey through diet culture and intuitive eating. Feel free to follow my blog.
